Nootropics

In the past nootropics was the medical name given to chemicals that met very specific criteria. Today the nootropic meaning relates more to smart drugs that we associate with tech CEO's, special forces soldiers and go-getters the world over. Originally developed to treat patients with a rare sleep disorder that causes people to fall asleep at the most inopportune moment, research revealed that as well as treating Narcolepsy, nootropics also improved brain performance and problem-solving ability. Further studies in non-sleep impaired people confirmed the ability of the medication to improve cognitive function regardless of impairment.
